A Mother's Grief, It Knows No End

As the 12th anniversary of my son's death from meningitis approaches, my heart is so heavy with sadness.  If only I had known then, what I know now.  Meningitis came out of the blue to rob my family of our beautiful son.  The image of his handsome, smiling face, is crossed wtih the image of him in the hospital, dying from this horrible disease.  I re-live all 26 days he was in the hospital, as I watched, helpless.  Please -- don't take chances with your child's life.  The CDC recommends routine vaccination for all 11-18 year olds.  The vaccines are safe and effective.  If only I had known.
